Mark is an experienced Headteacher, Director of Education, and Leadership Coach. He has worked across primary, middle, secondary and post-16 phases. Mark is passionate about developing leaders at all levels and is committed to lifelong learning and growth for all. He is currently undertaking doctoral study at UCL in school leadership development and aims to empower every individual to think, act, and feel like a leader.

Mark has extensive experience of coaching in education. He was first trained in coaching in 2007 through the National College of School Leadership Fast Track Teacher Programme and then as part of the Future Leaders Programme in 2015. Mark gained coaching accreditation through Growth Coaching International in August 2021. He currently coaches leaders at all levels, including aspiring, middle, and senior leaders, as well as headteachers and system leaders. Through one-to-one and group coaching, Mark aims to unleash the leader in every individual. Through doctoral study, Mark has developed pioneering programmes to support individuals from underrepresented groups.

Mark has worked in schools for over twenty years, teaching MFL and holding middle and senior leadership positions across different phases and school types. Mark was a secondary Headteacher for 6 years, securing Ofsted outstanding in all categories in 2023. He has also served as Interim Headteacher (primary) and Executive Headteacher (middle school). Mark is currently Director of Education for a values-driven multi-academy trust, leading school improvement and staff development. Mark teaches NPQs for UCL and has designed and delivered leadership programmes for MATs, international schools, Teach First, and Ambition. He is a Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching.
