Amnesty International UK (Human Rights Education team)
Amnesty International UK creates human rights education (HRE) resources, online courses, teacher training and youth activism coaches training so that more people have the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to take action on human rights and the human rights movement is stronger, larger and more diverse.
Amnesty’s HRE team create free lesson plans and activities for students to do independently – we have everything you need to start teaching children aged 3 – 5, 5 -11, and 11 - 18. Introduce human rights generally, or explore a range of themes such as LGBTIQ+ Rights and Women’s Rights. Our resources are free to download and order. Welsh language and bilingual resources are also available.
We also create free online courses – these are perfect for if you want to learn more about human rights or are looking for engaging online courses for secondary and FE students. The Human Rights Academy includes introductions to child rights and courses for schools. On Futurelearn, you can find more in-depth courses on climate change, the right to protest and the UK political system. View all our courses here.
We also run other programs, including Teacher Training and Youth Activism Coaches.
